LED Display Common Faults and Causes

 A. LED screen is not working and green light on sending card is flickering

Possible failure causes:

1. Power cable is not well connected;

2. Signal cable is not well connected;

3. Power low for receiving card;

4. Sending card malfunction.

Troubleshooting:

1. Disconnect, check, and reconnect the power cable;

2. Disconnect, check, and reconnect the signal cable;

3. Power up the receiving card and make sure voltage is between 5-5.2V;

4. Replace sending card.

 

B. LED screen is not working and green light on sending card is NOT flickering

Possible failure causes:

1. DVI cable is not well connected;

2. Graphic card setting incorrectly;

3. LED software turned off the power;

4. Sending card is not well connected or disqualified.

Troubleshooting:

1. Check DVI port;

2. Re-setting duplicate mode;

3. Turn on LED screen power on software;

4. Reconnect or replace the sending card.

 

C. LED screen is not working for part modules (3-6pcs)

Possible failure causes:

1. Power supply protection or malfunction;

2. AC power cable is not connected properly.

Troubleshooting:

1. Check to assure the main power is well connected;

2. Reconnect main power cable.

 

D. LED screen is not working for the whole cabinet

Possible failure causes:

1. The main power cable is not connected properly;

2. Signal cable abnormal;

3. Receiving card malfunction;

4. Modules are not connected properly to the HUB.

Troubleshooting:

1. Disconnect, check, and reconnect the main power cable;

2. Replace the signal cable;

3. Replace the receiving card;

4. Reconnect modules to the HUB.

 

E. LED screen is not working and green light on sending card is off

Possible failure causes:

1. Inappropriate connection with DVI or HDMI;

2. Graphics card is not set up to copy model;

3. Screen is switched off in the software;

4. Sending card plugs inappropriately or sending card malfunction.

Troubleshooting:

1. Check DVI plug;

2. Reset copy model;

3. Switch on screen in software;

4. Plug in again or replace the sending card.

 

F. Showing “system no found” when screen launching

Possible failure causes:

1. Sending card is not connected properly;

2. Computer com or USB plug abnormal;

3. Cable abnormal;

4. Sending card malfunction;

5. USB drive is not installed.

Troubleshooting:

1. Reconnect the sending card;

2. Reset the computer;

3. Replace the cable with the working one;

4. Replace the sending card;

5. Install USB drive.

 

G. Partially not display or miss colors in rows

Possible failure causes:

1. Flat cable or DVI is not connect properly;

2. Module malfunction

Troubleshooting:

1. Plug in again or replace the cable;

2. Replace the module.

 

H. Modules partially do not display

Possible failure causes:

1. Power protection or power cable abnormal;

2. Power cable is not connected properly.

Troubleshooting:

1. Check power supply or replace the power cable;

2. Disconnect, check, and reconnect the power cable.

 

I. Whole module does not display

Possible failure causes:

1. Power cable is not connected properly;

2. Signal cable is not connected properly;

3. Receiving card malfunction;

4. Module is not connected to the HUB properly.

Troubleshooting:

1. Disconnect, check, and reconnect the power cable;

2. Disconnect, check, and reconnect the signal cable;

3. Replace the receiving card;

4. Reconnect the module to HUB.

 

J. Blurred screen

Possible failure causes:

1. Wrong program is loaded;

2. Signal cable abnormal;

3. Sending card malfunction.

Troubleshooting:

1. Reload the correct program;

2. Replace the signal cable;

3. Replace the sending card.

 

K. Different display unit displays the same content

Possible failure causes:

1. Connection document does not send properly.

Troubleshooting:

1. Resend the connection document.

 

L. Picture shaking or double imaging

Possible failure causes:

1. Signal cable is not connected properly;

2. DVI cable abnormal;

3. Sending card malfunction.

Troubleshooting:

1. Reconnect or replace the signal cable;

2. Reconnect or replace DVI cable;

3. Replace the sending card.
